Musiyani Chewe is the visionary founder and dedicated Executive Director of Chiyambi Centre for Energy Transitions (CCET), a renowned nonprofit organization based in Lusaka, Zambia. With a mission to bridge the skills gap in the electric mobility sectors of Zambia, CCET plays a pivotal role in fostering sustainable energy transitions.Musiyani’s academic journey began at the University of Fort Hare in East London, South Africa, where he obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a focus on Psychology and Sociology in 2011. Driven by his passion for sustainability, Musiyani then pursued advanced studies at the Sustainability Institute of Stellenbosch University, graduating in 2013.
Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, he worked as a research officer at South South North, a prominent climate change think-tank, while undertaking graduate studies in Regional and Urban in 2015 and subsequently Climate Change and Development in 2016 at the University of Cape Town. Additionally, Musiyani holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation for Development from the University of Zambia.
With his diverse educational background and expertise in energy transitions, Musiyani Chewe leads CCET’s efforts to empower individuals and communities with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the evolving landscape of electric mobility. Through his unwavering commitment, CCET continues to drive positive change and shape the future of sustainable transportation in Zambia and beyond.
