Michael Sakala
Michael Sakala is an Electro-Mechanical Engineer working as an Energy Expert with more than 14 years of experience, providing technical support in engineering and currently in the development of the Renewable Energy and energy efficiency plans and programmes. This is in line with supporting government’s work, together with other stakeholders, towards the development of strategies/plans such as the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and the Open Access for Zambia to help the Country meet the SDGs and NDCs commitments by 2030.
The work borders on climate change, sustainable models for rural electrification, development of strategies and policies on electric vehicles, clean cooking etc., and the management of national and integrated landscape approach implementation-level research to advance access to clean energy, and energy transition.
