Kabayo Muhau is the Co-Founder & President of the Zambian Electric Mobility Innovation Alliance (ZEMIA) and Founder & Managing Director of Donmac Limited.

With over 15+ years in Renewable Energy, ICT, and Automotive, was Nominated for Marketing Personality of the Year and he is driving the Electric Mobility adoption in Zambia with his team at ZEMIA whose objective is to support the adoption, development and growth of the entire electric mobility (EV) ecosystem in Zambia and Africa.

Kabayo has been instrumental in advocating for the adoption of policies that support the adoption of electric vehicles such as the removal of 100% of customs duties of all-electric vehicles by the government and ensuring government commits to electrifying at least 50% of their fleet. At ZEMIA, Kabayo has supported government’s initiative of setting up of the Electric Vehicle Battery manufacturing Special Economic Zone through the processing of critical minerals in Zambia.

Kabayo is also a member of the Solar Industry Association of Zambia (SIAZ), National Technical Committee for the Development of Charging Infrastructure & EV Tariffs, National Technical Committee for the Development of Electric Vehicle Standards and also Off-Grid Task Force Committee supporting Zambia’s energy transition initiatives such as Roof Top Solar and Net Metering recently implemented to allow all solar roof top owners to sell excess power to the grid.

Kabayo is passionate about advancing Zambia’s sustainable energy future through Green Hydrogen solutions and recently Co-Founded, Green Hydrogen Association of Zambia (GHAZ) to with a mission compliment the adoption of Electric Vehicles considering Green Hydrogen offers other benefits such as powering heavy duty vehicles such as trucks, trains, clean cooking and fertilizer (green ammonia).

Kabayo is an ardent believer in Nuclear Power and strongly advocates incorporating Small Modular Reactors into Zambia’s energy mix due to their lower setup and operational costs compared to traditional nuclear reactors and overly offers guaranteed much needed stable power to support economic development.
